Beginning Kizomba

A new dance from Africa, gaining popularity in Europe and the US, a mix of Zouk from the Caribbean and Semba from Angola, with some similarities to Tango, danced to either traditional Kizomba music or Gheto-Zouk that has a solid R&B beat, it is up close and personal with true lead and follow.

Our method is a break down of your Kizomba Essentials, handed out in small pieces over 6 weeks, that when put together create a effortless dance with you and your partner.

The 6 pieces are constantly repeated and one week isn't necessary for the next, so you can join us at any time, with or without a partner.

Your goal in Beginning Kizomba is to master each of the 6 pieces so you can join us in Improvers Kizomba, on the same night, to work your basics and add a lot of style and tricks.

In addition to regular classes, we also have Social Dances hosted at the studio once per month, called Salsa Y Mas, where we play a wide variety of dance music including Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Merengue, Chachacha and Cumbia, plus we sponsor field trips to various night clubs for nights of dancing. And don't forget to take a look at the Social Calendar in the studio listing the current dance locations in the IE.

Never a Registration Fee - you can Register on-line or in-person. For your first class, please plan to arrive 10-15min before the start of class so we can help you register and answer any questions.
