Salsa (L.A. Style)

This is our most popular dance class, which is why we offer it 3 times/week.

Our teaching method has been proven, with countless students going through our system, to create the best social dancers possible. Our men are constantly complemented for extraordinary skill in leading and our ladies are some of the most popular ones on the dance floor because they really follow with grace and dignity.

Our method is a break down of your Salsa Essentials in 4 easy to understand small patterns, that are stitched together to create a seamless and effortless pattern that you can repeat with confidence until you graduate into Salsa 2 and learn more steps.

The 4 pieces are constantly repeated so you can join us at any time, with or without a partner.

Your goal in Salsa 1 is to master each of the 4 pieces so you can advance to Salsa 2 (Register for your private at the front desk). In Salsa 2 we add more footwork, and lots more turns & patterns. With previous dance experience you can usually breeze through the 4 pieces in just one month, or without previous dance experience, you're welcome to come as often as you like and for as long as you like to truly master the basics and move into Salsa 2 when you're ready.

Never a Registration Fee - you can Register on-line or in-person. For your first class, please plan to arrive at the studio 10-15 min before the class starts so we can help you register and answer any of your questions.

**Everyone must start in Salsa 1 Group Classes**
For entrance to Salsa 2 you must contact the studio and schedule a private lesson for testing. Since all schools teach differently and we pride ourselves on teaching a strong foundation based upon technique, we highly recommend you take at least one Salsa 1 class to know how we teach, and what to expect before deciding to take the entire 4-week course or try to test early.

Practicing Salsa

In addition to regular classes, we also have Social Dances hosted at the studio once per month, called Salsa Y Mas, where we play a wide variety of dance music including Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Merengue, Chachacha and Cumbia.

Plus we organize at least one night out per month, usually to The Granada in Alhambra, a salsa hot-spot, for dancing to an excellent band on a Saturday night.

And don't forget to take a look at the Social Calendar in the studio, it has a listing the current dance locations in the IE.
